The venue has limited seating. Please do NOT save seats for competitors who are due to compete.
Parents / Spectators will not be allowed on competition floor or in holding area. Keep in mind that parents are usually more nervous than the child. Let your child demonstrate how confident Tae Kwon Do is making them!
Integrity:
Please Support Flex by purchasing items and/or lunch at the concession counter. Outside food will not be permitted into the Event Center. And for the safety of younger students and support of the host, everyone is required to wear a wristband
at all times -- no excuses.
Perseverance:
Our goal must be to strive to be better today then we were yesterday. Not placing well at a tournament just means that a student must continue to focus at practice and gain more experience in a competitive arena. Always have a winning attitude.
Self Control:
Stronger is the person who wins over oneself rather then someone else. It is our goal to have a good, clean, fair competition.
Have fun and make memories. Lose control and you will be asked to leave.
Indomitable Spirit:
Have a CAN DO attitude. I can compete with my friends and make new friends. I can shake hands with my competitors
and officials after my event. I can remain with my family and not run around unattended. I can clean up after myself.
I can say excuse me, please and thank you.
Patience:
Flex strives for excellence. There will be many first time competitors and volunteers at this tournament; we plan to make this event run as smooth and quickly as past year events but please remember….Murphy’s Law is always in effect!
In addition: The venue has small restrooms. I would recommend that local and young competitors wear dobak pants
and a t-shirt that can easily be removed to put on dobak jacket before competing.
No need for changing in restroom and the jacket will stay clean for the ring.
It is mere seconds from car to mat so please leave sparring gear locked in car until the afternoon sparring events.
Make sure ALL pieces are labeled; children get excited and/or nervous and will leave behind something!
Competitors carry their own bag. Mom already has her hands full!!
Standard at all tournaments and strictly enforced for our competitors:
Clean, white dobak only. WTF Olympic style sparring gear only.
No jewelry. Finger and toe nails clipped short.
